About Us

The Activities Committee is the social and community outreach committee.  Its main objective is to promote friendship and good will among neighbors in Old Town Village and the surrounding Alexandria communities.  Annual events include the Summer Party, the Winter Gala, and the Progressive Dinner.  Other groups and activities included under this committee are: Book Club, Bridge Club, Children’s Activities, the Christmas Party to collect donations for local needy children, Day Trippers, Get-togethers, Kitty Co-op, and the Rebuilding Alexandria Service Project.

The Committee meets every two months and membership is open to all residents of the town homes and condominiums.  Newcomers are always welcome and help is always needed.

Summer Party – OTV’s Summer Party is usually held the second weekend after the pool has officially opened for the summer season.  The party, held at the Roundhouse and patio, is a family gathering for adults, children, and friends and relatives of OTV residents.  Ticket prices include food and entertainment.  There are games for the children and even fun for adults!  This year’s party will have a Cajun/Creole theme with free zydeco dance lessons.

Winter Gala – Each winter, OTV residents get together for a festive black tie optional event.  Ticket prices include dinner, dancing, and live entertainment at a formal nearby venue.

Progressive Dinner – Each year residents from both the town homes and condos gather together at various neighbors’ homes to enjoy delicious dishes from around the globe.  Attendees of the 2005 Progressive Dinner enjoyed Spanish cuisine.  Chair Robyn Webb, OTV’s resident professional chef, is busy organizing this year’s event.  E-mail her with suggestions or questions.
